Mr King is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with Special Interest in Cataract and Anterior Segment at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust where he is co-lead for the cataract service and leads the regional cross-linking service for patients with keratoconus. He is the Director of Bucks Eye Surgery Ltd.
He studied at Trinity College Cambridge and qualified from the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine in 2013 where he was awarded a prestigious William Harvey Studentship and a Distinction in the Final MB as one of the top students in his year. He completed his Foundation Training and Ophthalmology Specialty Training in the Oxford Deanery.
Mr King underwent advanced training in Cataract and Anterior Segment in Buckinghamshire and was awarded a commendation in the Postgraduate Diploma in Cataract and Refractive Surgery from Ulster University in 2021.
Mr King has had a range of his research, innovation and audit work published and presented nationally and internationally. As part of his NHS role he is the College Tutor and Educational Lead for Ophthalmology in Buckinghamshire and is the Cataract Simulation Lead for the Oxford Deanery. Mr King is an Examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
